Marshmallow Shooter

Would you have ever thought that a small plastic cup and a balloon could launch a mini mallow more than 50 feet? Well this activity will have you and your kids watching them soar. For even more fun take your kids outside and have them mark targets farther and farther out and see if they can hit them.

  • Plastic Cups (9 0z)
  • Balloons
  • Mini Marshmallows (or pom poms)
  • Scissors

  1. Cut the bottom part off of your plastic cup. Works best if you double up the cups and cut off the bottom third.
  2. Tie a knot at the end of your balloon and cut off about ½” an inch from the other end.
  3. Now stretch the balloon over the cup. Works best to wrap the balloon around the top end where the lip is.

Place the marshmallow inside the cup where the knot is, aim the cup away from you, and that’s it you’re ready to start launching
