Duties:

  • Develop new products and develop existing product improvements.
  • Commercialize new products by utilizing existing and new process equipment to assure optimum consistent quality products.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through reformulation.
  • Provide technical guidance to all the production and quality staff when requested.
  • Source new functional raw materials and flavors as necessary for product development.
  • Generate all nutritional data for new product through use of the Genesis software.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory nutritional and label requirements for all new products.
  • Conduct shelf-life tests on new products through UV exposure, accelerated temperature storage and ambient storage studies.
  • Provide new product samples for sales group.
  • Set up sensory panels for evaluation in NBE matching and existing products’ evaluation.
  • Formulate new products to match the ingredient statement, nutritional profile and product attributes of the target product. Develop and document the process for the manufacture of the new product.
  • Conduct plant trials and new product start-ups independently.
  • Provide finished product specifications for new products internally and sales samples specifications for sample requests.
